Teeny CMS Recommendation?

I’ve got a two-page website that will need to have a few small text sections updated once a year by nontechnical users. I don’t want or need a CMS with support for images or rich text. Just something stupidly simple and fast to implement.

Basically, the smaller the better. Any suggestions? Go.

Have you considered using server side includes? All it would require is
uploading a text file or two.

I’ve thought about it, but the problem is these clients aren’t very compatible with FTP (you know what I mean). I might just go with WebYep, and only use long and short-text items, but I make enough of these mini-sites that I thought it would be useful to have a more trimmed-down tool in my belt.

Todd: Thanks for the links - I’ll check 'em out!

You could have a look at http://www.filecms.com (which used to be mini CMS). It’s sort of like server side includes. You could hand code in the locations or use my Action for it.

It’s not free, but for $5/month, you could use Inlay for this. It’s actually quite well suited for just updating some text in a defined style – it tends to strip out the styling inside the box you’ve applied it to anyway.
