Text link style/link colour

I have designed a site with a table layout…

I wish to place some HTML into a cell within the table.

However, when I do this by clicking within that cell until the cursor appear and then type - ‘contact’ and apply the action text link colour - it does not work?

Nor do this work when I draw a html item, type ‘contact’ and apply the text link style and drop the html item in the table cell???

Why is this?

It does work if I do the latter and place it above the table - I want to avoid this though, as I’m also having cross browser issues with text jumping around - thus using a table layout!

Any help please.

This is what I would do: draw out an HTML box, insert the table.
Select the html box and change the link colors in the item appearance
settings just for that box. Wouldn’t that work?
