Text Links Problems

I have recently upgraded my Freeway 5 Pro and I have not had this problem before and I can’t seem to get around it. I has scrapped three starts at this website and I am now on version four.

I am trying to create a links panel down the side of my Master Page.

The Page is Black and the text was set to a Light Grey

I have clicked off the page, selected the Second Tab in the Inspectors Panel. In the links section I have selected the following options:

Normal: Light Grey
Visited: None
Hover: White
Active: Mid Grey -Underlined

I have save everything.

I have then selected the HTML tool and drawn a box for my page links text and added the following Page Tiles
Home
About Us
Etc
Etc

I have linked each heading to a new page.

I have save everything.

When I preview my progress on Safari I get the following:
Black Page as expected with my Light Grey Text, When I move my Mouse Pointer over the links, The Select Hand appears, but they don’t go White as expected. When selected they also do not turn Mid Grey.

Visited Pages Link have been turning a Purple colour.

I have tried adding the Action Text Links Styles from the Drop Down Menu Item>Actions>Text Links Styles.

In the Action Menu I have again selected the options:

Normal: Light Grey
Visited: None
Hover: White
Active: Mid Grey -Underlined

I again when previewing the changes see no change in the colours of the text when Hovering or having Selected A link when I have clicked on the link. The Active Page never shows and underline when I am on that Page.

I have also had problem with Visited page links title appearing and remaining Purple when pages have been visited. although for some reason I do not understand it does not seem to be doing it now.

How do I get the active page to have an Underine on the link when that page is active in the browser?

How do I get the required colours to show with the relevant action?

Why Do I keep getting Purple links on visited pages?

I have also thought that having the link text have a solid background when that page is showing or when the mouse is rolled over the text would be nice and wondered how that is done?

Your help is appreciated.

(Please not that the new design pages I am building is to replace an older website and has not even got to the stage of being up loaded to a test area on the net yet)

Your help is appreciated as always

Forgot to ask…

I am trying to get my link to be a bit like these two sight combined.

For the link background to change colour when moused over see here:

I also like the lines the separate the links on the Ferrari site

I would also like other Links on a page in the main body of a page to work like these. see here: http://www.lamborghiniclubamerica.com/

I would try using the CSS Menu Action – it does most of this out of
the box.
