Textures

I have read the manual about using textures, but I feel no wiser. Is there a tutorial available on-line?

Thanks

Open the Texture palette by clicking the little triangle.
Now click the “+” button and give a name. Click “OK” and a few new option will appear. After loading an image texture for example you can use it as “Fill”.
Hope you get the idea.

Cheers

Thanks for the help. I have an image captured in the Texture window box, but I am baffled as to how I access it during the Fill operation. If I go to the color palette I can access files under the Spectrum option, but I see nowhere that allows me to get to the Textures

Well - choose a path or object first you want to fill and click the little square showing your texture as a preview. Very simple - same operation like filling a square.

Ah-ha! I had been trying to do it using the Fill command. I didn’t realize that simply clicking on the texture itself did it in one step.

Many thanks

Hey guys, don’t You think that there should be more transformations available for the textures than simple “scale to fit” and “transform with graphics”? It feels weird when I want to place texture accurately.
I can set the texture with correct height, but width is too short, I can’t really oversize a texture in any other way than clicking “scale to fit” … But in this case it is much too big…

Am I missing something? How do You do it?
