I am on 22mbs internet connection.
The forum always loads really SLOW.
No other issues with the rest of the sites, just here.

What browser are you using? I’m using Chrome right now, tried with Safari 5, and Firefox and Walter has this place blazing super fast.

I have a theory here, and if you can see this page load quickly, then
I’ll have to move on to a different theory. But if this page stalls
for you as well, I will have confirmation of my theory and we can
proceed to fix it for you.

And still, very slow on http://freewaytalk.net ? Does it change by
what page you are browsing? Did you check the “remember me” option
when you logged in (and are you logged in while you are seeing this
stall)?
I’d like to narrow this down, because what you describe is completely
not what I see here or Dan sees.

It “WAS” slow.
From the main page clicking on a topic like Off Topic, it was slow.
Coming in now it was quite fast.

The next time it stalls, see if you can see FreeCounter. If not, then
that’s the problem. I’m going to have to carve out a couple of days
and migrate FreeCounter (and all my other sites still on TextDrive’s
creaky old Alberni) to a Joyent Smart Machine. Those stay running for
years at a time, and don’t suffer the sorts of problems born of “Other
People’s Sites on a shared server” that Alberni does.
