I am using the Site Mapper Action by the book, but when I go into Google’s web master page I still have to click the add sitemap button to get it up. Is this correct?
You only have to tell Google once where it is and it will use that file from there on. If you re-upload your website and new sitemap.xml file you can tell Google to grab it again, but it will do so in a while by itself.
Ok, so it means that the Action does not do the whole job? I have to go into Google web master to add like in the old days before the creation of this action?
The action makes your sitemap file and I think it also notifies the search engines. That’s the submission page you see. Maybe someone else can confirm.
Until this confirmation to be sure you can always go to the Webmaster page and re-submit the file.
