Hi,

Is it possible to resize multiple item selections in FW Pro 5?

Basically have grouped rollovers and thought if I select the whole group and wanted to increase the width for all selected items it would work but no go.

Thanks.
Tony.

Sorry, forgot to enter a Subject - should have been “Multiple Selections in FW”

If you have selected a number of objects that are all the same size,
then you can drag a corner of one and all will change at once.

If they are grouped, then it will be very difficult to select them
without selecting the parent (group) container object as well. You
can do it, and if the objects are all the same size, then you should
be able to make this work. But it will be very fiddly. If you have an
Action applied to the group (as in a Rollover among layer elements)
then this may be the only way to make the change without re-applying
the rollover effect and setting everything again.

Try this (untested):

Click on the header above the Site pane until it reads Page.

Click on your group, and then Control-click on the parent object so
that only the children remain selected.

Hover over a corner of one of the selected items, watching the cursor
for the magic moment when its tail disappears, which indicates that
it is in Resize mode. Click and drag to resize. If this move resizes
the children out of the bounds of their parent container, don’t
worry. The only dimension of the parent that is actually relevant is
the X/Y coordinate of the top left corner.

Thanks again Walter. I unfortunately started a new thread and actually added the subject as I forgot to in the first place.

Will give it a whirl.

Tony.
