Transition Show/Hide Layer Problem

We have a slide show on each page of a site. On one page only, it doesn’t work in Firefox. Works in Safari. Very perplexing. See test site hosted at: http://www.buchanandesign.net/allsaints/directions.html

Also some of the transition fades seem jerky not smooth.

Greatly welcome your comments. This is a box model site.
Thanks so much.

Hi Jan,

This has been fixed in 5.5, we also put up the fix on ActionsForge though: Sequence Timer - ActionsForge

Jerky transitions are usually down to the host machine, if you have other things happening on there at the time of viewing then they may appear jerky. Alternatively you could try using 5.5’s new Showcase Action, which uses a different JavaScript library. I can’t promise it will be any different but in my general use the animation has been improved. Just set the Type to Slideshow, the Thumb Position to None to remove the thumbnails, and position the item exactly where you want it. You can change the duration of each slide in the Slideshow Duration field.

Hope this helps,

Joe

Joe,

Thanks for your reply. I was not going to upgrade to 5.5 until the real release (not the preview version) was available. In the middle of several sites and don’t want to incur unknown headaches with the upgrade. Would you recommend I do that now anyway?

Can’t seem to access actionsforge.com right now. The link gives an error message?

My server is being restarted at Joyent, and will be back up as soon as fsck is done. Sorry for the inconvenience.
