Can anyone help…
Created an image in illustrator and saved as .eps PDF and psd.
All formats have transparency underneath.
the graphic is like a paper torn edge very simple in black, when placed over another graphic the torn effect gives the picture underneath a fancy edge.
But…in preview and browser the transpareny area appears like a tone effect? As if the transparency is not working? As if it is letting only part of the image below appear and not all of it?
Any suggestions please.

is your image marked in Freeway as a jpg or png? (image inspector third
tab). It must be png to show tranparancy.
