just upgraded to version 6 - but immediately encountered a problem. Tried to upload a site that only minutes before had uploaded in 5.5. Just got a warning saying ‘Cannot complete upload because a file or folder not found [550"markkelsallphotography.co.uk_MFHDc.]’
I contacted my host and he says the correct path ends in ‘MFHDc#x5’ - so nothing after the hashtag in the warning.
That’s deeply suspicious. Why on earth would there be any punctuation character besides a hyphen or an underscore in a filesystem path? In a URL, the # character indicates the “anchor” or “hash”, and thus must be the last segment of the URL. Having that character appear earlier in the path is a recipe for disaster. Did you name this folder or did your hosting company? I’ve been doing work with Unix servers since 1994, and this is the first time I have ever seen such a character in a path.
