Trying to identify logo font

Hi there

I know there’s not much to go on but I’m hoping that someone may be able to help me identify the font used in this logo:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/gdlowuk/6511043839/in/set-72157628417212257/

I can get the ‘t’ and ‘a’ from a font called VAG rounded but can’t find the ‘w’ and ‘y’ anywhere. Ideally if they were all in the one font that would make using them much easier as I’ve got to create more matching text.

Thanks, and festive felicitations in advance of the forthcoming holidays.

Gordon

Hi Todd

I have tried that site and some others that offer similar help but sadly they didn’t come up with anything useable.

All the best

Hi Gordon,

Just a suggestion but have you looked at Letraset fonts that would have been the likely source at the time of creation. Possibly adapted from there.

Is it this typeface? Street Bold Font - FFonts.net

Found using this service: http://www.whatfontis.com/

Hi again

Thanks to everyone who helped out trying to identify the font.

I had thought it was a standard font with a horizontal line added which was why I edited the file removing the line and using that on the font search sites.

It turns out the horizontal lining was part of the font and it’s called Oxford Regular which did have Letraset roots (thanks seoras). There’s also another version called Sportowy. If you are interested you can find out more at:

Joe- your suggestion may save me more time as it looks to be a very close match for a solid version. Strangely when I tried the site you mentioned that font didn’t appear in the list - you must have magic fingers!

All the best

Hey Gordon - I may be a bit late off the starting blocks but try:

You can upload a sample and it will scan it for you.
