For some reason, I am no longer able to import, drag and drop or copy and paste jpeg or pdf files onto the Intaglio canvas (open, blank drawing). I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Intaglio, disk utility manager repair. I’m in the process of trying to upgrade to El Capitan on my other machine to see if this rectifies the problem. BTW - I have three machines all with the same problem. This used to be a routine operation. I’m stuck!

This is kinda strange. Have you read the thread from today already?
“I´m no longer able” implies it was working till a certain point. Question is what happened in the meantime? Have you installed Apple latest security updates from today for example? As I said in the other thread all is fine over here with recent Yosemite/Intaglio3.9.2.
What is “Console.app” telling?
Cheers

It was working the last time I used it (approximately a week ago). I regularly update all three of my machines to the latest versions. I’m not familiar with “console.app” Can you help me understand? Thanks.

Shut down Intaglio first - open it again and try to drag a JPEG onto it´s default canvas. Open Console-app from Utility folder and type in Intaglio into the search field to look for any entries. Hopefully there are such. Check the Crash-Reporter logs as well. Copy&paste your findings into a TextEdit file along a description of what you´re trying to do and send it to Nick for analysis via email.

I upgraded the operating system to El Capitan on the one machine and problem solved. Just finished the second machine and again the same result. Currently working on the third. Thanks for the advice. I will make a note in case this issue shows up again. Thank you.

OK with regard to recent posts relating to issues with drag-and-drop and import into Intaglio
Console is reporting an error on drag-and-drop of a JPG image onto the default canvas

I’m having the same problem, drag and drop a jpg file into a blank document doesn’t work. Running OS X 10.8.5, Intaglio 3.9.3. Dump from console after drag and drop:

More info on my inability to import jpg or drag/drop jpg.
JPG I’m using: http://postimg.org/image/d2nswinr5/
I can open the jpg in another application (GraphicConverter), select all, copy, then paste into Intaglio. The pasted image is slightly fuzzier than the original. I tried another method: open in GraphicConverter, select all, click in the selected image and drag to Desktop, which created a ‘Picture clipping’, dragged the clipping into a blank Intaglio document and it appeared, just as fuzzy as when I did a copy/paste.
Intaglio Preferences set:
Documents > Color space for new documents=Automatic
Clipboard > Import > Import PICT = Automatic
Clipboard > All boxes checked except ‘Export EPS’

I installed the update and now I can import graphics into Intaglio. FYI, the change history for Version 3.9.4a (current version) says: 1) Fix an image import problem. 2) Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements.

Unfortunately, the only app I found that can be imported is PDF. Not enough. It must be capable of importing/opening other types as well: EZDraw or Word for example. I have a number of old drawings that need updating and EZDraw is all I can use so far.

How do I import sketches from iCloud? I see the files on my iMac and they are saved in the iCloud Drive but I don’t see an option to import those backed up files onto my iPad and continue working on them.

I’ve also moved one folder to Dropbox to test it and when I select “Import Drawing” the Dropbox account is empty despite being able to see the file on my iPad in the Dropbox application.
