Upgraded to Freeway 6 and can't open site

Please accept my apologies in advance, as I am a very casual user of Freeway. I have only used it to create my own personal business website. I have emailed Softpress customer support, but have yet to receive a reply, so I thought I would try this forum.

My website was originally created on a trial version of Freeway 5.5 Pro, but I decided to only purchase the Express version. Since the purchase a couple of years ago, I have updated my website and uploaded it many, many times without any issues.

Last week I purchased an upgrade to Freeway 6 Express, but did not receive any links to the application files (still waiting on a Softpress response for that, as well). Since I was going to have some time to work on my site today, I decided to just download the trial version of Freeway 6 Express for the time being. I then went to open my website through Freeway, and now I’m receiving the message, “This site was not created with Freeway 5 Express”. I have tried opening it with my Freeway 6 trial and my older version of Freeway Express with the same results. Does anyone have any idea what might have happened or what I need to do to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Kristin,

How strange. Can you try downloading the application again from here: http://www.softpress.com/download.php?id=FreewayExpress6

Once downloaded, open it up by clicking on the application icon and enter your serial number. You can get your serial number from the email you will have received from us when you purchased. If you don’t have the email, let me know and I’ll get it sent over to you off list.

Once the application is open, go to File>Open and locate your file. If you’re still having problems getting it open, send it across to us at support(a)softpress.com and we’ll take a look at it for you.

Hope this helps,

Joe
