Hi, I solved a first problem - TY DeltaDave.
Now, I need to copy and paste the html to a comment line to be able to post my banner -
can I get instructions how to do this - I published and copied to clipboard - went to the site that I need to paste the html in - and it shows blank… ugh.
I uploaded the file to my website folder and copied and pasted the url from that - and I am getting a code 404.
http://72.29.84.123/public_html/GRWbanner.html
how do I get it to work online? (btw it works if I click on the html file that saved when I saved the file to a folder)
thank you again
J
ps I am sorry that this is a repost - it did not come through my end - even thought it was marked as sent. ALso I had more info

Where were you told that?
I am assuming that you created a banner in EWA.
Are you trying to use this in a site other than a FW created one?

Can you tell us in more detail what the instructions were.
Also I take it the banner is hosted on your site ‘grassroots site’ is the EWA Flash file (GRWbanner.swf) in the same place as the GRWbanner.html page?
And if it is on grassroots site then why are you not using the web address rather than the IP address ie http://www.grassrootsweb.net/GRWbanner.html

this is her quote:
You just put your html banner code in a comment…
the site is:
http://southernbellemarketing.ning.com/
And if it is on grassroots site then why are you not using the web address rather than the IP address ie http://www.grassrootsweb.net/GRWbanner.html
because when you do - it is just the line not the banner.
Yes it is under my public html folder.

This is like posting to the FWT site.
If you go to the page on your site where your swf is and ‘ViewSource’ you will see the code that displays the banner.
It starts with an OBJECT tag and ends with the close of that tag.
Copy that section into a text editor.
Once there change the relative links ie Resources/banner.swf to absolute ones like
http://www.yoursite.com/Resources/banner.swf
Once you have changed them then copy and paste the code into the Comments section of that site.
Once published the HTML will be parsed and your banner will appear.

quick question - I should move it to the resource folder instead of leaving it free in the public html folder?

No - it is fine where it is.
If you move it then it won’t display any more.

No - leave the Resource folder alone FW manages that for you.
If you want you can create a separate folder on your server for files like this using FTP and then FW will not touch it (unless you create a folder with the same name in FW)
