Using templates

Hiya

I’m an infrequent user of Freeway and have to learn a lot all over again each time I build a site.

I want to use the Sensor template for a site - but I want to change the colour of the nav bar.

To try to do this I am selecting the header by clicking on it (and I’ve also tried going to Header in the Page menu on the left) and going Edit > Ungroup. At this point the background to the bar vanishes …

I can’t see it as a separate element, and I’ve even moved it to the right to see if it drops to a different layer.

Any tips, please?

Go to the Master Main page. Change from Site to Page view by clicking Site at the top of the LH Sidebar in FW’s design view.

This then shows all elements on the page.

Select Header, now look in the Item Inspector under the Paintbrush icon. Down at the bottom there is a section for Graphic Effects and inside that Background - that is what you want to change.

You will need to make corresponding changes to the background colour in the CSS Menu action.
