Validation issues with WebYep?

Does/has anyone have any issues with WebYep and W3C validation?

What HTML level should WebYep validate at?

David, same here, the validation usually goes south as soon as you add content to the WY items. I asked Max about it once but he suggested I check the Obdev user forum. Their forum is not very active and sometimes Johannes would reply to a question and never follow up to see if the issue was resolved. I posted a question on Oct. 31 2008 and there is still no reply.

I thinkMax is working on an update for the actions, not sure if it will solve any of the validation issues.

Cheers, Marcel

Hi all
yep I am working on the next generation of the webyep action suite but in reality my end doesn’t actually effect the output of webyep. Most of the problems I have see with w3c compliance has come from TinyMCE though I think thats almost compliant now, the other one is webyep download files actions, and long text in some instances,. From what johness has described to me a lot of it comes down to webyep not knowing what level the page has been constructed in eg 4.1, xhtml, strict etc.

I know johannes has been steadily working at making more things compliant. As far as replying to emails I know Johannes has been on sick leave so it emails have backed up a bit.

If people could make a note where and which webyep actions fail compliance I shall try to make a list and with johannes help see which ones could be tackled to try and make these validate
