version 6 css submenu hidden by inline element

Total newbie here, trying to decide between Freeway 5.5 and 6. I was able to build an inline page with a properly working drop-down menu in the earlier version, but am having trouble getting a menu to work in v6. Two things are going wrong. The submenus disappear behind the content block that is below the menu bar and they are inaccessible to the mouse. Files are here:

Ideally, I could simply bring the menu forward, but that option is ghosted out. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hi Don,

The following should fix your issue. If you’re using a Master page, do it on there:

Select the item “navbar”, press Command-X and go to the

tab in the dialog that appears. In here, click New and enter the following in Name and Value (respectively):

z-index

auto

Ok out of the two dialogs and preview in a browser to make sure it’s worked.

Option-Command-X, since Command-X will Cut to the clipboard. The menu command is Item / Extended.

Thanks Walter, that’s correct. My bad.

Thanks, everyone! Changing the z-index to auto brought the menu forward. All is well.
