Screencast: Forms To Go 4.1
Runtime: 10 minutes, 35 seconds
Here is a wish list fulfillment (on Freewaycast.com) by having a screen-cast on the software package “Forms to Go.” From BeBoSoft.com, Forms to Go is what they call the “swiss army knife for every web developer wanting to put an online HTML form to work: it is a form to e-mail script generator bundled with features that solves many form processing tasks easily, without programming, like: field validation, multiple e-mail destination, file uploads, database dumps, secure HTML forms and more!” Sounds great to me.
As a disclaimer to this screen-cast it’s hard to figure out everyone’s web setup or figure out how to adapt your web hosting package to fit the software. But I do try to fit the most “usual” setup’s and if your setup is “unusual” thankfully there’s plenty of options. For instance most forms and web services allow for PHP to be used. Others require ASP or PERL scripting languages to be run. Who knows what you may be running? But I think the big three are covered here and should at least get you started on your way to creating simple to complicated form for your website.
Instead of listing out the features of Forms to Go, here’s what I cover in the screen-cast. I show you how to setup your Freeway document for entry into FTG, how to setup secure scripts by setting requirements for user input entries, create custom e-mail subject and body entries for simple text-based e-mails, creating multiple field validation options, showing the export process of creating the script, and wrapping up with the final steps in your Freeway document.
