Whilst in my cups, I said that it was daft that the only place to check for upcoming events in my village was on the village notice boards. Why did we not have an email mailing list to notify villagers of events and whilst we were at it why no web site? If you want one, do it was the answer.
Me and my big mouth. I am worked off my feet at the moment trying to keep up with work, look after an elderly relative and have no chance of getting down to it in the coming weeks.
Does anybody want a job doing a simple but attractive web site for a fair price (paid for out of my pocket)? Something along the lines of www.brutontown.com but less information and with a separate calendar page for upcoming events. Probably only four or five pages in total but with easy ability for me to add pages in future using Freeway and easy updating of the events calendar for our not very IT-literate parish clerk. All rights to the site to rest with or the Parish Council.
