Does this look interesting? Webflow: Design Responsive Websites Visually
It appears to me (but then I’m not too clued up) that if this works, it has the edge over FW, Muse and other WYSIWYG apps in terms of responsiveness. I don’t know how well it plugs into a CMS (the other big issue I face a lot)
I’m thinking that as websites get ever more onerous to produce (and now they have to be responsive), tools like these could help speed up that process - even if the code they produce is then tweaked by hand.
I think FW needs to build in responsive design into the software or else it’s going to be dated.
To be fair, I don’t think they were focusing on that end of the product in that video. This was all about adding behavior to page elements using JavaScript, and that’s not something you can make “visual” if you want it to be flexible enough to actually do something.
There are a whole lot of cool features in there for making responsive layouts – you are able to drag a marker in the interface and change the width, and then adjust the page to match how you want it to look at that breakpoint – cutting-edge stuff there, and very visual.

I just watched the latest video from http://macaw.co/ and its no where near visual design anymore. Im gutted. Looked great -
Im hoping there will be plug ins that will do all that for me. Otherwise I simply won’t use it (as in Ill still be out sourcing as I do now), I think ‘cutting edge’ could be used if basic sliders could be done visually too… and responsive of course.
