This site is no longer functional. I’ve been asked to recreate. Can something as interactive as this be done in Freeway Pro?
I’ve been asked to consider recreating it… I think it was done in Word Press, not sure.
Can calendar displays be done in FP? Under the calendar menu option, you have a choice between a list and an actual calendar showing the events. Is this doable in FP with a built-in search function? Pretty neat.
Any comments, suggestions welcome. I’d hate to offer to do this and then find out FP cannot do… but if Word Press did it, then I’m sure FP can recreate.
What you’ll struggle with is adding the dynamic calendar events with search without incorporation say some sort of CMS system into your Freeway site. Without a CMS all Freeway could do is to have a dumb replication without the cleverness.
I’ve used Perch CMS extensively and the Calendar/Events would do this for you.
But then perhaps the site does not need to be this clever.

Thanks much David & Richard. At this stage of my life, I’m afraid that this type of project is a considerable tad above my salary grade.
Any suggestions as to who/where I might direct my friend to have this recreated? Whoever did it originally has ‘vanished’, or rather just stopped communicating with the Shepherd club.
Methinks it might be more politics than dollars. They’d asked me to redo it for them and I gave them a number of between $500 and $1500, depending on revisions, additional pages required, etc. And they said money was no problem (heard that before?)… But it’s through a personal friend so I kinda think its legit. If I was 10 years younger, I’d do it, but at my age–what with my decreasing comprehension skillset–I’m demurring.
And the company that designed the website originally don’t seem to be bothered with their own website either which isn’t a good sign http://www.aralas.com/
Yeh, I saw that… And smelled a rat from the get-go. I think somebody was messing around with WordPress, got carried away, got pissed at somebody in the organization, and just said FIA.
I’d ask about $1.500 for this to meet the current site. Everything else (or rather extra) will be charged on an hourly base. And I’d like an advance of 50%.
They want to be considered professional, so they’ll have to act professional as well. Just make sure to send them your rock solid Terms and Conditions of Delivery with your quotation they’ll automatically accept by accepting the quotation. Don’t even create a blanc page before the advance is sitting nicely on your bank account.
