With Max’s WebYep action suite I’m trying to create a site which has multiple Loop elements on one page. Should I design my site using frames or is it possible to add two loop elements rich text elements in more columns in a table?
Hi Marcel
as long as the loops are called different names within the action palette and the actual loop contents are also called differently then you can construct the loops in tables layers or frames… its really up to you and so is the quantity you could have 3 loops or 4.
If you are not sure then I can always send you an example
speak soon max
Hi Max,
thanks for your reply. Easiest way is not to use tables or frames at all of course but I really like it when the content of a loop pushes my footer or another tekstbox down if it fills up. This will not happen if I put the loops on a layer.
Going to give it try…
If you place all the loop items within a div (layer) as in-lines and insert this whole layer as as in line to then remove the height attribute from the outer div then it will expand and grow depending on your content
later on today I will put an example up so you can see what I mean
all the best max
Hi Marcel
here is the example
to make the container flexible height I added the style attribute within extended to auto
plus I arranged the footer so the measurement/position is taken from the bottom of the container
Hi Max,
looks good but I have an additional question.
I really like using the extendable content as shown on this site a built: http://www.debreg.be
I’m referring to the post-it note on the homepage. I want to create a top image and a bottom image. Inbetween there’s a rich-text or longtext element which pushes the bottom image down.
Same idea in a loop on this site: http://www.anjafeliers.com/anjafeliersnieuw.php
I can’t accomplish this when I put the elements on a layer. Placing the elements in a container (like in your example) or in a table isn’t working either because the text-element has to keep a fixed width to match the image above and at the bottom.
Now a customer wants a page which has several of these loops (with top and bottom image attached to a text element) on one page.
Pffff, another problem came up. Can’t get the text to stay in the box width I set. Content keeps on growing in width. Really need the tekst to break when it reaches the box limit. Must be something silly I’m overseeing here…
Tries using the long text item and the rich-text item. Funny thing is it only happens in this site I’m working on at the moment. All the other sites I previously build text breaks whenever it reaches the box limit by default.
Like I said must be something really stupid I missed but can’t find it.
Hi Max,
still struggeling with my earlier ‘breaking up designproblem’ if I place various elements (not on a layer or in a table) on the same page.
If the height of one element grows it rips the other elements on the page apart…
Will send an example to you by mail.
