Webyep gallery + Smooth Scroll?

I have a Webyep gallery within a loop and of course this gives me a long page.

So I added a ‘back-to-top’ link within the Webyep container which links to an anchor at the top of the page. Works fine.

But when I add smooth scroll it breaks - Java script error and it will not publish.

Note that I have a group of carousels on another page which are Wepyep editable. Therefore Webyep’s own built in Scriptaculous/Prototype references are turned off and Walter’s Scriptaculous added to the Gallery page to give me the Lightbox function.

Can you post a link to the page? I may be able to work out what is happening by looking at the published HTML/JavaScript. Also, make sure you have the very latest version of all Actions. The Scripty Actions were all updated to coincide with Freeway 5.6.4 – new versions of the JavaScript libraries.

Hmmm Walter,

I think this could be a problem cause he said, that he is unable to publish due to JS error within Freeway.

I tend to say:

Remove Walter’s Scriptaculous and try to publish again. If the JS error is gone it’s something between smooth scroll and scriptaculous.

I dunno if smooth scroll is transporting the needed libraries to the server similar than SP-action, but couldn’t this be a chance - and I tend again to say yes, so finally you’ve all you need for the lightbox-effect.

Ouuch - never match the experts?

The page without Smoothscroll is here
http://www.bnh-photography.com/portfolio.php

Without scriptaculous but with smoothscroll is here
http://www.bnh-photography.com/portfoliocopy.php
But no lightbox and no enlargement of any sort.

As Thomas says I can not not publish and upload the non-working one. I could send the freeway file though suppose?

Richard,

do you have a rich-text editor running within your project? Do you have WY SEO Action installed?

This is what I actually did:

Applied the smooth scroll to the freeway-layout (as in your second example).

Change to that page in browser and login.

Click the “scripts part” in the SEO bar, choose the “HTML” picker in TinyMCE and insert there:

Save and try again. This is exactly what I did in this example:

It seems to work both.

As an alternative you could try to add the example code into the before head part of your freeway page. This works as far as I can see, too.

Cheers

Interesting Thomas I will try it tomorrow.

I have been running some tests and I can get a Web gallery to smoothscroll but only with the built in Protaculous. As soon as I put the actions Smoothscroll and Protaculous on the same page it breaks, with or without any Webyep stuff.

Walter you should have received a file to look at by now.

Thanks for all the help to you both
