the original webyep 1 system couldn’t resize jpeg files but did recognise the .jpg fie extension so it (depending on how you set up your webyep image) would resize your jpg image but leave the jpeg file at the original size.
Hi Steve
It should recognise .jpg .png .gif and in the new version I have amended it so images with the file extension of .jpeg are all also recognised
the latest version of the webyep gallery and a webyep image loop can be responsive
Here are some example which another developer in Spain (Raquel http://i-tek.es) has been testing her designs on. These sites / layouts use many of the new responsive webyep elements including responsive video. Most if not all of the content is controlled via webyep including the washing line of posters which can be seen on the first link which is actually an advanced responsive webyep loop.
I also did a quick recording showing what I have been experimenting with in terms of a webyep loop which look like a gallery but to link to unique pages rather than a bigger version of the image
This may be too early to ask you Max but, now that Freeway has folded its wings, will there be a way of using Webyep in other software many of us will be moving to? Are there hurdles ahead or will it be straightforward markup ?
I personally am interested in Coffee cup and Blocs but other readers will no doubt looking at other alternatives.
if you image… all you would need to do is copy specific code snippets into the html then those element will be the webyep controlled areas.
WebYep is already used with rapidweaver an in the past there was even a dreamweaver plugin. So long as you can copy and paste and the application you are using is cable of using the little snippets of code then yes its all perfectly do-able
we are still struggling with php7
Parts of the system now works with 7 but not all… and it is blooming slow going. So all I can say is the minute its done I promised to announce it…
