WEBYEP & MAL's E-comms!! HELP!!!

Hi all,

I’m currently building a site with a Mal’s E-shop.

The client also wished to have capability to upload their own products to sell, edit info etc via webyep.

However each item has a buy item now button, with pre defined price in FW that links to the Mal’s cart.

Can I offer my client the ability to change this value to suit their needs.

To give you a better understanding, my clients wished to sell one off items, with a few pics, brief description and price.

Once sold, item needs to be removed/replaced and thus the few pics, brief description and price need changing after every purchase!

Is this something feasible in FW with Mal/Webyep???

Currently I plan to build the items for sale into the site with a few blank items for future products, all with webyep integrated to enable client side editing!

Is this good practice, or can anyone give any better solutions?

This is quiet urgent and I need to give the client feedback a.sap so all comments are welcommed!

Many thanks

Worm

Hi Worm,

The best way I can think of is for you to create the Web Yep elements in a loop item, ie photo, description, buy now button.

Then, when a new product is to be added, your client would need to go to www.mals-e.com and use the simple Online Button Maker to create the code to then paste into your WebYep ‘buy now button’ (in html mode).

Using the WebYep Loop element would enable your client to add, delete and rearrange the order of the items for sale.

So, it’s a little bit fiddly, but do-able, depending on how ‘web savvy’ your client is.

Sly.

I know
This is a bit late for this project as it was posted in April but I have been working with getting webyep to play nicely with mals actions
I have got the beginnings of the action working but I could do with are a few Freeway people who are proficient and comfortable with the way Freeway, Webyep and mals work, to do some testing.

This wont happen until I come back from my honeymoon but if I could have one or two people ready, that would be willing to help out then it would be very handy.

All the best max
