I know this is a question for Objective Dev really, but I dont see any changes coming looking at there last update for WebYep.
Are there any plans for an update to the UI of WebYep? Has anyone bought a white label version and changed all the icons? Just curious as it’s a great piece of CMS, just very dated, and there are others out there I would use first over this because of client’s preferring a smooth, slick interface.
You can change the icons of all the versions of WebYep. All you have to do is save your versions under the same name as their old counterparts inside the webyep-system/program/images folder.
The only image you can’t change is the WebYep Logo, unless have the white-label version.
I’ve not created custom icons for everything, but it covers the bases. Bonus: ckEdit 4 sports a really sweet and modern interface. The custom builder on their website is super nice as well if you don’t want to give your clients certain features (like font control).
Hi Mark,
I had a search for some a couple of months ago when it looked like I was going to be using the CMS on a project and I wanted some UI elements that weren’t designed in the 1990’s! I couldn’t find any so started creating my own to match the design of the main site although the project switched to another CMS shortly afterwards so the controls got shelved.
If you make some be sure to send Objective Development a copy and ask them to add them to the CMS.
All the best,
Tim.

Hi Caleb. Yes I know. Just wondered if anyone had done it?
I’ve used a white labeled version to brand as our own CMS, changing the icons, logo and the CSS so the interface is a little slicker than the default supplied. The trouble is the cost of the WebYeb white label version is rather high compared with say Perch.

Hi Mark the icons can be changed and I agree yes they really look dated… but I was making a modern set for people to use I just never finished them so now the new action suite is launched I suppose I better get on with them again
