I’m trying to connect to my main mac (G5) from an Android tablet using a programme called Pocket Cloud. As part of the connection settings it’s asking for my Host Address, Password and Port.
I have to admit I don’t know the address of my Mac! Is it an http address?..likw 176.1.200.3 or something?
Password?..well I’m stumped there, too, unless it’s what I use to connect by wifi from my powerbook?
Port. I really havn’t a clue!!
Anyone suggest the answers to these seemingly simple questions?

Yep this is your IP address and if you are setup DHCP it will change from time to time
Password
I bet it wants username and password and yes this will be the USER you are currently using on your Mac
and Port.
Port number is probably 5900 and there is a 1 in 500 chance it is 3389

My network prefs on the Mac show my IP address (under the Built-In Ethernet/TCP/IP pane) and the 'configureIPv$ says ‘using DHCP’ - I’ve no idea what DHCP is though! It also shows a slightly different IP address for the router.
I’ve tried with my username, password, and host address and ports (tried both) but the tablet just comes up with “session disconnected”…as if I ever had one in the first place!
Is there a forum for this product? It had good reviews for iPad and iPhone so your version should be good also

I’m not sure, I’ll take a look and see. There is a widget for the main computer called ‘PocketCloud Mac companion’ or something, which I think syncs the connection automatically - unfortunately it’s only for 10.6 and above.
