White text on jpg background

I’ve searched in the forums and can’t seem to find the answer. I’m trying to recreate this site in Freeway Pro and it’s not working as well as I thought. The site is http://www.cubaswiftproductions.com

I have imported the background in Freeway, but when I create an HTML text area and turn the text into white, it automatically creates the background into black and I can’t get rid of it. Any suggestions are welcomed.

How did you do this?

Can you post a link to an online page? That would make it a lot easier to diagnose.

Delta Dave,

Here’s the link to what I’m having issues with. I know figured out to how to change from black background to white, but now I have white background on white text.

I want the text box to be transparent so the white text shows through the box and looks like it’s on the wall. I want it to be html text, so it gets indexed.

You just need to select your HTML box and click the “Layer” checkbox
in the Inspector palette.

Layered items ‘float’ above the page, whereas unlayered items sit
flat down on the page. And unlayered HTML boxes cut through anything
underneath.

I see you’re using the Freeway Pro 5.4.2 trial. (I checked the source
for the link you provided.) I heartily recommend you go grab the 5.5
version that’s now on the site. It adds a good number of new goodies
for you to try.

Hi Frank,

if you are on search for a great application - grab Freeway and purchase it (whatever version you start).

This is my rebuild with 5.4.3

It’s been done in 10 Minutes - and at least it would take 20 Minutes to describe.

So onclick my username you should find my eMail. Send me a PM and I send you the zipped FW file to investigate (inspector !!!) what’s going on.
