Why does this page need to scroll

Hi all,

I have created this site here: http://www.sj-creative.co.uk/beta/

It seems that a horizontal scroll bar is always appearing for the site, even though the window is much bigger than the size of the actual page.

Why is this happening and how do I stop it? There’s no need to horizontally scroll :frowning:

Thanks

Simon

Hi Simon,

You have an item called “welcometitle” that is set to 1360px wide,
which is causing the problem.

Thanks Joe,

That’s sorted it. It’s strange though. That happened because I tried to scale the image by holding the cmd key and clicking and dragging … all of a sudden it gave it a huge size?

Whilst we’re on the subject, how do you click and scale an image properly using keyboard keys and clicking and dragging. As soon as I press the space bar it turns the item in to a square which is not what I’m after.

Thanks

Simon

Without looking, and if I remember correctly, it’s Apple-Option-Shift
drag.

best wishes,

So simple!

I think I tried every other combination … maybe I was hitting the shift at the wrong time.

Thanks Paul.
