Xway b2.1 is here!

We’ve just released Xway b2.1.

This contains a couple of bug fixes:

  • Changes in markup fields aren’t discarded when switching Inspectors or hiding sections
  • Fixed problems with small caps and capitalization styles
    You can download b2.1 from our website (click on “Download the Xway beta now” on the Xway page).

Having downloaded Xway and tried to open a Freeway Pro file, I assume they aren’t compatible.

Hi Bob,

Having downloaded Xway and tried to open a Freeway Pro file, I assume they aren’t compatible.

The Xway User Guide (available from the Help menu) lists this as one of the features we haven’t yet implemented.

Any idea when this feature will be available please? I have a couple of large sites that I’d rather not rebuild from scratch just yet. Thanks.

Hi Neil,

It’s going to take us a while before we can import Freeway documents - we need to implement core functionality first.

My advice would be to use Xway for new documents, if that is possible, but continue using Freeway for old documents.
