Xway crashes when reattaching missing images

In the middle of updating one of my websites with Xway 1.1.2, I discovered most of my images were missing. Clicking the ‘Replace…’ button had no effect, even though I was able to select the image and clicking the ‘Locate…’ button, once I’d found the image and selected it, causes Xway to crash.

Tried this multiple times with the same result.

Hi Geoff,

If you can send us your document with some steps to reproduce the crash, that would be helpful!

We might also need a few of the images that you’re trying to locate.

You’re not working from a Dropbox or iCloud volume are you?

I went back to a previously-saved version where the images were intact and that version is OK., so I’ve worked on from there. The images were small PNGs and JPGs. I do have the 20pp of Apple’s crash code, if that’s any use. Otherwise, I’ll watch for it happening again.

Hi Geoff,

If you can send us a crash log that would be helpful. What’s most helpful if you send us the actual crash file rather than text from a dialog:

  1. Open Console.app (in Applications/Utilities)
  2. Click on Crash Reports
  3. Control (or right-)click on the Xway report and choose Reveal in Finder
  4. Send us the crash file (it has an ips extension).
