Possibly my favourite thing about Freeway was its support for graphic text, especially as it gave me access to all the exotic features of my AAT and OpenType fonts - it allowed me to easily add and edit beautiful headlines to my sites that few other webmasters could emulate. But it would seem that Xway has no support for graphic text at all. Seriously?
We took the view that there are few places where it is a good idea to use graphic text. It creates accessibility issues, and is not well suited to flexible websites.
If you really want graphic text, there are a number of online text graphic generators that you can use, or you can use a general graphic program such as Pixelmator. If you import text graphics into Xway, you will have greater control over scaling than you would have with graphic text (and non-pass-through graphics) in Freeway.
Alternatively, you could choose a suitable web font and use that for headings. Some users turn off web fonts (for various reasons), but most users will see the font that you’ve chosen.
