YouTube Subscribe button

I’m trying to figure out how to set a subscribe to youtube button in Freeway Express 5.

I can get the icon to appear on my site but not the action.

steps I have taken thus far.

go to Configure a Button  |  YouTube Subscribe Button  |  Google for Developers

collect the code put it in a markup item.

this shows the icon but does not subscribe.

the developers page says I need to be able to run JavaScript file

https://apis.google.com/js/platform.js

How do I test if freeway runs that script?

the above website is not freeway but it shows the problem I’m having. Im waiting till my freeway website is bug free before releasing.

Thanks for your help

It is not FW that runs the script but your Browser - is it online for testing as it may not work unless it is.

David.

Thanks for that I was feeling quite silly before, but you have confirmed what I initially thought.

I have made sure Safari is running javaScripts.

I have now uploaded my site. Still haven’t figured out how to put the Youtube Subscribe button on my page. i have looked at as many different FW pages that I can. None of the pages have a subscribe button for youtube so I’m guessing it might not be achievable at this stage.

If anyone knows any better please let me know!!!

Cheers,

Phill

Andries,

Thanks for your help. the link you posted is what I have been trying. I’m guessing I’m doing something wrong.

I get the code from the youtube developers site.

when i paste it into either an iFrame actions box or a Markup Item I get the same result.

The Subscribe button appears on my website but nothing happens when you click on it.

Hi Phill

I tried some things out for you and used instructions as I send before.
Look at my testpage: http://www.ssl-leeuwarden.nl/show3.html. Is this what
you meant?

I suppose FW Expres can handle this kind of buttons? I used Pro 5.5 for
this testpage.
