Thanks David. I’ll give it a try. Just curious but why “kooks” is it an eccentric or crazy thing to want to attempt ?

And if I revert back to typing on a normal (high key) apple keyboard,
it feels like typing on loaves of bread

Hi David,
call me a cow or a fool, but i look into space, and can’t get the tut to work. i get stuck with the pictures not seeing online, but in preview they look great.
In the tut it say’s to place the text ather head, but then you say;
Add Markup after text
ok, that i don’t understand. can’t seem to find it out.
when i put a markup i do something with it… put text in it…
what am i supposed to do ?
also, what the hex ( boy, am i funny or what?) is the problem when i don’t get the carousel online, but i do see it in preview.
you may call me stupid, ONE time.
greetings

If the effect is working correctly locally on your disc, and not
online, then it sounds like the files have not uploaded correctly to
your web space.
Have you got a FTP program to check if the files and images folder
have uploaded correctly and match the files on your local disc?

yes, but i’m going to try to do a better job, and use fetch instead of the ftp upload from fw.
Thanks… and you did not even call me stupid, thats my first gain today.

Dear David, thanks for the tutorial: it works fine.
However: how can i make the carousel transparant? I can change this in the XML file but now the Carousel container wil change tothe color chosen in the inspector panel. If i change this to ‘none’ the Carousel will be black.
If i look at the given examples there is a transparant one: i will have to change “the WMODE to ‘transparant’” and i think i will have to use extra markup somewhere but i dont now where. If i look at the HTML files in textwrangler the coding is very different…

If you’ve down loaded the files from http://www.flshow.net/ you will
see there are different files/folder to use for a transparent
background.
So swap the file used in the Freeway tutorial around accordingly.

Yes, thank you. However, this wont work.
There is a diffirent portion of code in your freeway example:
This code is from the transparant example:
swfobject.embedSWF("Carousel.swf", "carousel1", "100%", "100%", "9.0.0", false, {xmlfile:"default.xml", loaderColor:"0xCCCCCC"}, {wmode: "transparent"}); It seems there is a different sort of code to embed the swf file. The important bit however (according to the explanation found on www.flshow.net) is: {wmode: "transparent"} If i manualy change the code it works, even with the swf included with your example so, its not in this file but in the code (and in the code of the xml file). I have to use HTML markup but there i get stuck: whatever i do it wont work. Maybe it is the code Freeway uses to embed the swf file. I could use the Source code snooper action to change this but i was wondering if it was possible to do it more gracefully? ...and excuse me for my terrible English: its disgusting, i know! _______________________________________________ actionsdev mailing list email@hidden Update your subscriptions at: http://freewaytalk.net/person/options
