If I download the @font-face kits from Font Squirrel and install them regardless on Suitcase or Apple Fontmanager, those FONTs will be recognized by all Apllications except Freeway.
Is there anybody out there having the same issue or do I miss something in here?
Have you restarted Freeway? Can you post a link to the problem fonts please so I can take a look please?

Sorry I didn’t get back to you. I didn’t find out anything new yet sorry - just that Freeway uses a different method of including and using font files to most other applications so is likely to be down to that. This doesn’t stop you using the font though since you can reference it by name in the Font Sets dialog - you will only see the font in use in the browsers that support @font-face though.

Hi Joe,
did you find out something yet? Agree, one is reporting no name, others are still not existent.
One thing you can try is to find the font in FontSquirrel’s main library. The @font kits may contain “read only” fonts - which seem to cause Freeway to not see them - despite other applications being happy to use them.
I have had that problem to. The font riesling. I had to go to another site to get it to then put it in. But the font squirrel CSS worked in the Caxton action.

The Action should be doing its job quite happily with what comes from FontSquirrel. The other side of this is helping you design with the fonts in Freeway - and that is where setting up Font Sets is a good idea. Getting a version of the font that Freeway can work with helps no end, and preserves the WYSIWYG for you.
Well the straight answer is that most of the fonts just don’t work in Freeway. I know for my Caxton ScreenCast that the Aller font was the only one that worked after I tried at least 10-15 other fonts with no luck.
I’ve got it working on this site (font Dadhand). You have to remember to draw a graphic box for your text, NOT an html one, and then follow directions for use of Caxton scrupulously. When I did, it worked.

But the point of Caxton is to put special fonts to HTML text so you have the searchability to the words yet you can be creative. IT works fine on an HTML box.
DanJ - I get fonts from other sites (fonts101.com etc) then upload to make a font-face kit from them instead of using their fonts. That was my solution to have different fonts work.

Great!. If someone can explain how to get it working as html, I agree that would be great! BUT, I did try for ages, and whilst not being the brightest spark on the block, I’m also not shtoopid, so what hope is there for any regular dude getting Caxton working??

yes - that’s what I’m trying to do now too. Unfortunately, Freeway crashes at that time when I try to make a “new” font-set. Hmmm - first to look at this.

I didn’t ever really find a fix for it either.
You will probably find regular downloads for the fonts too -so if the TTF file provided in the font kit does not work, try doing a searech to see if you can find a proper version.
