Not at all. There’s something funny going on in the mail conversion
function. There’s a whole section of code devoted to converting these
encoded characters, and it’s not being invoked for some reason. I
tried a couple of quick hacks, but none seemed to work out. So I will
look at it in depth next week.

I personally do not feel that I am offering “3rd World Levels” of

Always great service and good support as far as I am concerned.
I’m happy with HH ta !
I don’t think I can name another provider who gives you your own nameservers at the HH value level either !
hope the new servers work well James

PS Kryten - Gordon Brown was a total - total - Smer Heee yesterday…
8.15 UK time. Anybody in touch with James? All my sites are working except one - the most important one. Can’t IM him as my email (with HH) is down so can’t login to MSN. Just wondering what time he gets up. I’m gonna get my butt kicked over this, it’s a new client. Turning into a nightmare.
Same with me. Most active site (or at least the one with the most
email use at this stage) is down and he’s a new client. Maybe that is
no coincidence? I’ve raised a support ticket with James. Now I’m
waiting for a call from my client about his emails…
Cheers

UK 9:15. All working OK now. I recall Monday being the day that Have
Host were doing the major migration to new servers so assume, with
time differences and all, that this is part of the process. Anyway,
fingers crossed for us, and James, that the new kit performs properly.

No disrespect to you but as you are the most recent user of this
expression I’m curious - what is happening to the language? My
mistake, I get. My error, I get. My bad? What is a bad? It ain’t a
noun. And where does it go from here? My happy? His/her bad/good?
What happened to the precise beauty of the English vocabulary? The
way of the world? Maybe the eskimos only have one word for snow
now…
That’s the beauty of language - it is constantly evolving.

What does ‘it ain’t a noun’ mean. Shouldn’t that be ‘it isn’t a noun’? As you say, the English language…tsk. But I could be an American living in the UK…couldn’t I innit?

It’s even older English… with a bit of Cockney overtone. Does it
make a difference in which country one uses the expression? And as
for, innit… bring me my highest horse at once, Sirrah!
