Mals e commerce

You can have as many pages of products as you like.

1 page for supplements

1 page for Dog Houses

another page for electrical goods

You decide what goes with what!

As long as these pages are all contained within the ‘shop’ folder that you applied the E-shop settings action to.

The Buy Now button can read anything you like - including Add to Cart

Hi,
Can I get the “add to cart” button code from PayPal for each product and put
them within the product details for each product on their respective pages?
In iWeb there was a widget to enter the code, but nothing like that can I
find in FW. How can I make that happen? Truthfully, I really don’t like the
way Mal’s works at all.

Hi,
Ok, so I tried to paste HTML code I got from Pay Pal into an HTML box under
the product price and uploaded it. It showed the code, but now the button,
so I deleted it. I have set up shipping on Pay Pal. Will Shipping
Calculations in Mal’s, Option 8 use those Pay Pal calculations?

Hello,
I am really having a hard time wrapping my brain around this Mal’s shopping
cart construction. I have a learning disability, and it is really giving me
a fit with this. Please don’t abandon me. The shipping options are squeezing
me into something that will not work with my products, so far as I can tell.
Is it possible that I could put the E-shop settings on the main website
folder and put the E-buy buttons & E-buy text on the product pages, instead
of using a shop page for each product or category? I can’t see what it’s
doing or what it will look like, so I am flying blind here. When it asks for
HTML I am lost. My dyslexia will not allow me to do HTML, if you know what I
mean. I got robbed when I hired a company to build me a website this spring
and I am still trying to get my money back! I am determined to do this, I
just need some help, please.

If you want to use PayPal on its own - bypassing Mals - then you can do that.

Any code you get from PayPal will need to be added to your FW page using Insert>Markup Item and then pasting the code into the window that appears. When you OK the dialogue box you will see a 100px square item on the FW page which you can move to where you want your button to appear. (You can resize it too)

If you decide you want to go straight to PayPal then you can delete all the E-shop actions because they do nothing with PayPal - they are designed to help you interface with Mal’s

When it asks for HTML I am lost.

When what asks for html?

Mals has options to set different Shipping costs in many different ways - you can set it on a per item basis or on a per order value basis. There are others options.

If you can outline what products you have and their shipping costs I am sure we can get Mals to work for you.

But if you want to just use PayPal I am sure we can do that if you prefer.

Do you already have PayPal buttons set up?

Hi,
I have some, from when I had my website built in iWeb, but I have added many
since then. I have played with Mal’s all day. My shoulders hurt from typing
all day, for two days, so I gave it may very best effort. I called Support
in California and they told me about the Markup box too, so I tried it. I
think I like that much better. Some things ship UPS Ground and some things
go Parcel post. Others ship Flat rate, depending on how much I can get into
a box. For only those products that shop flat rate, if the customer
purchases more than $150. the shipping is free. Without upgrading, I don’t
think Mal’s will do all that. I didn’t used to think Pay Pal would do that
either, but either they have changed a few things since I last worked with
it in May, or I missed it. I think they changed it. Thanks for getting back
to me. I really appreciate it. My shoulders are screaming, “Heating pad
please. And get away from that desk!” It’s been a long two days. Good night.
