The best long-term solution as far as I’m concerned is moving the site over to a proper CMS (take your pick) that way you have a blog plus the other conveniences a CMS offers. But hey, that’s me.

Then today’s your lucky day, Howard. There are dozens and dozens to choose from, some of them are even easy to implement into a FW workflow, if that’s a requirement.
Todd
I don’t like using wordpress, and I don’t know of any other cms’s to be honest
What are some good ones that are easy to implement? Do those allows for other to log in outside of FW and edit their posts and such? Basically what I want to do is be able to change things on the site while other people can post and such
It’s really going to depend on the level of control you want/need and what other features you may want to add down the road. Freeway users tend to stick to just a couple stalwarts like WebYep (no blog as far as I know) and Pulse (blog add-on). Both are dead-simple to use, with or without FW. But understand these are intended to be very simple systems so again you really need to assess the specifics of what you want/need.
But there are so very many other lightweight options too. Moving up the CMS food chain systems like Expression Engine and Joomla!, both of which have Action Suites definitely fall into the Big Boy category and will offer anything you could possibly want or need.
Between those two extremes are a bounty of very nice, easy-to-use and powerful systems of varying functionality and complexity. I and many others could rattle off a long list of candidates but you still need to do your homework and find one that suits your specific needs.

Perch strikes a nice balance of features and functionality and can be integrated into FW (it’s used by several FWers) but it is definitely a more hands-on system to setup so have the proper expectations going in.
Todd
I’ve worked with Joomla! before and wasn’t that found of it, I will do my homework and see what i come up with
You can add other users but I’m not sure if Pulse allows you to restrict access to only the blog while blocking access to other parts of the site. Possibly with hacking it you might be able to.
Todd
If i use Pulse, would other users be able to log into the “blog” part of the site
Oh, that’s fine if I can not block the other pages, my main concern is adding users so people can post. Now i have to figure out if it’s easy to install this in a document
Well, you ask a tough question because it’s all relative. It’s safe to say Pulse (and WebYep) is easy to install by any standard of technical skill. Perch on the other hand definitely requires more work, though some non-technical FW users have managed quite nicely but they did put in their time to learn it.
Todd
How hard are these to install into FW? I have never done anything like this before
Yeah, I just downloaded the trial of Pulse. I am going to see if I can get it to work. Does that work with backdraft? Not sure if you know the answer or not
There should be absolutely no problem with Pulse or Perch and Backdraft.
