As many designers are setting maps up on the client’s behalf, do you use the clients google account? Or your own?
Just thinking is using your own google account on multiple client sites you just might hit the 25,000 hits in a day (probably won’t be anywhere near that but you never know)
Good question. I’m pretty sure that they only start charging if you hit 25,000 hits a day per domain, so you should be ok using your Google ID.

Out of pure coincidence I’m having to include a google map. It was so easy before but now its a bit of a nightmare.
Well I’ve got the key but I’m finding the map is not appearing when the page is uploaded. It appears on the FW page with the correct location so something is working but its not appearing as said once uploaded. Any thoughts.
I followed the instructions that Joe has posted but it still doesnt work! I took the code given and the pasted into the Site key but the map then goes blank!
No idea what to do and this is an essential part of our website! HELP please!!
Sorry it’s not working for you. Can you post a link to the problem page, please?

I just added a map and got the ‘blank box’ problem. I found a key and added it… tried the whole thing a couple of times over and even refreshed the key and tried the different one.
I have just been working with Joe at Softpress on fixing mine and it’s because I had the map action as an inflow action item.
If your maps are the same, then remove them > add a regular HTML item in it’s place (inflow as before) > then re-add the map in this HTML item as a regular action item.
So you’re adding the map as a layered item inside of an inline HTML box?
