Ideally, it could be with full-width hero images, but that is not an absolute requirement. It does need to be responsive, and I want each image to be a clickable link (like the example above) to other pages in the site.
I’ve considered:
target show/hide layer
WowSlider (I have a very old version and would probably need to upgrade)
CSSslider (also a costly option)
Owl Carousel (after viewing Thomas’ video), but I’m not sure if I can embed links…
I’m still on Snow Leopard until I get a new computer. So, sadly, no Exhibeo for me. I’m going to give Owl Carousel a shot and see if I can save a few bucks on upgrading WOW or moving to CSSslider.
I tried to give OwlSlider a shot. So far, I’ve failed miserably! Here’s my start: bet007(中国)官方网站
The developer tools in Chrome are giving me all kinds of errors and I’m guessing I’ve put the html markup in the wrong spots. I copied and pasted Matt’s example and changed the name of my owl container/wrapper.
Hi Doty, Have you placed the “owl-carousel” folder in my download to your “site folder”. At the moment your example can’t find CSS and JS files for owl.
you will have to manually upload “owl-carousel” folder to your server.
Sorry Matt, I just saw that you said to put these files in the “Site Folder.” I was doing everything through an FTP program as I thought it was a huge no-no to muck around inside the site folder! Hmmmm… Another question, I downloaded the files from http://owlgraphic.com/owlcarousel/ (the latest beta version), but you clearly have more files in your site folder than appear on my Owl download. Are you using the beta version? I read Version 1 & 2 are incompatable.
Hi Doty , didn’t realise you where after more than one image at a time in desktop view. Only used version 1 in the past but will have a look at beta version.
looks as if Richards link to AmazingSlider might be an simpler solution to implement.
Hi guys. Richard, I downloaded AmazingSlider. I like several of the examples they show on their site. However, it’s more expensive than WowSlider! I would like to see if I can get owl to do what I need first. I’m doing a site for a non-profit and I need to keep the cost as low as possible.
