I think Spawn NEw WIndow action has a bug that makes the vertical scroll bar NOT show up in Firefox.
Does anyone have an alternative? I was thinking link to new window, but that always opens the new window in top left corner. SNW had it nice and centered.
I am looking for it to be nice and centered like SNW but work in all browsers.
your example works for me. That is great news. I am having a frustrating experienc here but will get it.
I tried to delete the version of SNW that I had (not sure which one it was) but something is strange. Even though I found the file and deleted it, It is still available as a choice in actions in FW. I know I do not have to delete it, but I was frustrated last night and did so now I am scattered.
Can you please help me to rid of the SNW completely so I can re-install Paul’s updated one?
Hi Barry,
Remove the Action from your Actions folder (or sub folder) in the Finder. When you go to Edit > Actions in Freeway the Action will probably appear in bold and at the top of the list. This is Freeway showing you that the Action is used in the document and that it will use this cached version when you next publish the site.
If you now install the new Action Freeway ‘should’ pick up the new version and just use it as expected. Sometimes, however, you will need to purge the old Action from Freeway before you can apply the new one. Before installing the new Action remove the old Action from the site (folders, pages, items etc) and republish the site. Now when you check Edit > Actions the Action should be gone. You should be free to install the new Action, apply it to your site and set the values you had previously.
Regards,
Tim.

Hi Barry,
Go through the site and remove all of the instances of the old Action and then republish. If you check the edit > resources dialog and the Action isn’t listed then you are ready to install and start using the new Action. Good luck.

Hi Barry,
You could do this with another Action that would locate the Action you were looking for and list the page it was on. For the moment, however, I would recommend you select ‘show items’ in the site panel and look for items that display an Action icon. The ‘used’ column in the Edit > Actions dialog box will list how many you still have to find (although sadly it won’t help you in finding them).

Tim.

Is there an easy way to see on what pages all instances of an action appear?
