Also, if I want to have custom font styles, e.g. defining fonts that are on my system but not in the ‘standard’ families, or shadows or spacing, etc. that I have to buy something like Font Pro stack family at $49?

I think the 5-10 US/plug-in is fully acceptable. The $50 fontpro is a bit much. But I can see eg. this solution:

I used the fonsquirell fontface kits and and caxton action with freeway as well.

Sorry for the delay everyone! Its been a very busy summer.

I currently have the sale ending at the end of the year. I am unsure when Realmac and YourHead have set their discounts to end. I am sure that if you were to ping them, they would help you out if it expires.

Google Maps

You can use Google embed tool to put maps on your site. There are many stacks that add a ton of features on top of that if you were interested. However, you can do it for free but simply putting in the embed code.

Managing Fonts

Foundation has what most people require for font management taken care of. You can define custom fonts to use (although it does not do font-face definitions for you). It does support importing Google Fonts for you though. All you need to do is provide the font family name and weight.

Font Pro is really the ultimate in professional font management. It has a lot of advanced settings that most people do not require. For many people, trying to add your own CSS and code snippets to a project file is too complicated. The stack does a lot more than importing fonts though. Its abilities to define and apply styles for fonts are very powerful.

WOW Slider

I think all of the questions were answered about this. If I missed something let me know.

Thanks Joe, I bought Font Pro in the end, and I think it was worth it! Even though I’ve only spent a couple of hours with it so far, it looks like a great product with excellent integration with Foundation.

One question on your Google Maps stack, can I input a Geo location in the settings? Didn’t seem clear that was an option in the docs?

Yes. You can input GPS coordinates as well.

Mind you that my Google Maps stack is not interactive like many people have. Its simply a static map. Most of the time I prefer that, especially on mobile.

Thanks Joe, also I keep on seeing mention of Image Map Caching in your docs, but I don’t see that anywhere in the demo project settings for that stack. I don’t see any map in preview with the demo project within RW either.

Its on by default. The checkbox setting is called “Use Image Map Caching”

Thanks Joe. I just don’t see that anywhere in your GoogleMaps.rw demo file when I click on Template and look in Settings.

In your docs, it seems to be in between Data Points and Path Widths, but I just don’t see that.

Clearly, I am missing something fundamental!

I don’t have it installed, I’m just loading your GoogleMaps.rw demo file as I mentioned above!

Ah. That makes sense. The demo files will not work 100% without the stack.
Sorry.

Thanks Joe, that explains it.

I’ve bought it now, and I’m sorry to be making a bit of a struggle over this apparently simple stack, but I’m confused.

How do I get the map to show the standard Google + and - scaling options, and how do I show a label for a marker?

All I want is something like this with a label on hover over the marker http://www.igmack.co.uk/rw7/sg2.jpeg

Did you see what I said earlier? If this is not what you wanted, let me know…

There are many interactive map stack options… http://rapidweavercommunity.com/search?q=Maps

You can also use free online embed generators such as this… https://maps-generator.com

Thanks Joe, sorry, I did see that, but I didn’t think that you literally meant ‘static’ with no Google zoom! I thought you were referring to getting directions, etc.

Looks like Awesome Maps may be what I should have gone for!

Yeah. Sorry, if you notice the demos on the product page are basically static images. No zoom or interactive options.

Shoot in an email and we will fix up your order…
