Does someone know what’s going with Dan Jasker’s tutorial and website? I went to Freewaycast and all his stuff was removed… Even his own website doesn’t work anymore…
Is he into trouble with Softpress?
I posted on SoftPress FB page the same question, they don’t know what happened with Dan. He’s no longer on Twitter or Facebook. It’s too bad, his tutorials are great…I hope he comes back from wherever he went.
I just sat down to buy some of his tutorial videos, because I finally had time to sit and watch them, only to find out they are gone. Is there another resource for similar content with videos besides what Freeway provides? In the meantime I’ll just hope he comes back.
That’s weird… no emails, no wedsites, no posts on any forums or blogs or whatever…
What do you think guys?
Maybe he got hacked and his hardware is down?..
Maybe he got abducted by some kind of aliens who want him to teach them the art of designing websites?..
Maybe he is himself an international redcap hacker and got kidnapped by the FBI?..
Given that his business is the internet, I’m troubled that his twitter account is non-existent, not to mention the fact that he’s no longer on Facebook (I used to have a link to him there which is no more) and his website defaults to an index page that’s blank. I did get a July newsletter from him, but nothing in August, and all the links embedded in the email are now non-working, including the graphics.
[For those of you who know him better than I do, a whois (network solutions) on his web domain will give you an address and a phone number. Maybe someone should give him a call. It rings and allows voice mail, by the way.]
I hope everything is OK, but unplugging from the net this way is cause for some concern, I think. I hope all is well.

I visited his site a few days ago to copy the URL to send to a customer who had come into Support, and found that there was simply a message stating something like he was transferring his site to a new host.
I see that since then the page is completely blank - which may simply be the result of the previous host removing all the content completely, but who knows?
Let’s hope that this is just a temporary glitch, and that the site will be up with a new host sometime soon.
Also, please bear in mind that Dan works completely independently from Softpress Systems, so we do not have copies of any of his screencasts.
That’s very interesting… I was just about to buy is help to build my first full website on Freeway, and that’s why I started this thread…
Perhaps he is having some legal issues…
Anyway, his tutorials are quite good, (I also like the way he speaks and his accent… I tend to impersonate him after 10 minutes of listening… o.0! )
I hope he’s not into too much troubles, though.
I live about 25 miles from Dan but I don’t know exactly where he lives. He mentioned he lived near me in an email. That’s all I know. I’m in Illinois. I did a whois on his domain but that got me no info at all. General internet search came up empty too. It certainly is disconcerting.
I’m ok, just going through some changes in my life right now while trying to balance working full time and creating new things for the store. Nothing has gone wrong with the site and no security has been breached in regards to my members area. Everyone’s account information is safe, secure, and backed up.
Also, I appreciate all of the phone calls, emails, and support shown on this board. I did kind of just disappear there for a moment, but don’t fret I’m ok.
I will also be creating new Twitter and Facebook accounts, so I’ll let everyone know what they are and hopefully everyone can help get the word back out.
Thank you for touching base. My thoughts are with you during the changes and balancing everything on your shoulders.
